This paper examines the evolution of female-led entertainment content—from pageantry and film stardom to influencer-driven digital media. Analyzing three primary domains (traditional media, reality television, and social media platforms), we argue that while “Miss Entertainment” content has diversified in form, it continues to reproduce specific gendered labor expectations. However, emerging participatory cultures and feminist production models are beginning to subvert these archetypes. Using mixed methods (content analysis of 50 top-streamed titles, 15 semi-structured interviews with female content creators, and platform data from TikTok and Twitch), this study finds that audience engagement with “Miss” content is bifurcated: nostalgic consumption of traditional tropes coexists with critical, remixed appropriations.
