Íngrid Betancourt, the leader of the Green Oxygen Party, was abducted by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) on near San Vicente del Caguán. Alongside her campaign manager Clara Rojas, she was held hostage in the Amazon jungle for six and a half years.
